CR-5

A Benchtop colorimeter based on the CM-5, the CR-5 offers a fantastic price to performance ratio, particularly for QC measurements of liquids. Like the CM-5, the CR-5 can operate independently of a PC and features a colour screen for enhanced usability.

  • Benchtop instrument with Top-Port alignment
  • Spectrally based Colorimeter
  • d:8° Sphere Geometry
  • Reflectance & Transmission
  • Stand-alone or PC Software operation
  • 3 Apertures SAV / MAV / LAV

Benchtop Colorimeter CR-5 with its transmittance chamber open to measure the colour of solid and liquid samples
The CR-5 is a versatile benchtop colorimeter based on the CM-5 spectrophotometer, ideally suited to colour quality control measurement of solid, granular and liquid samples either in reflectance (opaque samples) or transmittance (transparent or translucent samples).

The top facing measurement port, easily configured to either 3, 8 or 30mm, allows measurement of virtually all samples either directly or in petri dishes. The large transmittance chamber measures liquid samples in 2, 10 or 20mm cuvettes (dependent on the sample) or translucent solids. The CR-5 has the same simple user experience as the CM-5, but measures only tristimulus colour data in order to offer an unsurpassed price : performance ratio for QC measurements. Dependent on the user needs, the CR-5 can be configured to perform simple pass/warn/fail assessments of samples based on pre-configured targets and tolerances.

The CR-5 can be operated as a standalone instrument via the large onboard colour screen and user friendly firmware which facilitates setting of colour differences, tolerances and includes all major colorimetric systems including industry specific indices (Gardner, Hazen/APHA, Iodine, European and US Pharmacopoeia). When connected to a PC and Colibri ® or SpectraMagic NX colour data software, additional indices, user customisations and expanded options for storing, reporting and communicating colour data are available.

The CR-5 simplifies day to day colour measurement tasks and minimises the risk of operator errors via its simple and user-friendly user interface. Additional user centred features such as automatic calibration, Operator Wizard and seven operator languages reduce the training and processes required to obtain consistent and accurate colour data.

Features

Features
  • Versatility for a wide range of Applications

Combining the unique top facing measurement port with a range of accessories designed to maximise repeatability and ease of use, the CR-5 can measure the colour of virtually all samples in solid, granule or liquid form.

  • Large colour LCD

The large colour LCD is easy to read, greatly improves the user experience and can display measurement data numerically, graphically, or even just as PASS/FAIL judgments.

  • Wizard for on-screen operation guidance

The wizard function displays on-screen guidance for users to guide through the instrument set-up and measurement process.

  • USB storage of settings and data

Individual user configurations as well as target and measurement data can be easily stored on USB memory stick to allow multi-user capability.
